I was brought up in a home with very holistic and ayurvedic practices. Health and wellness have always been in my blood and I knew I always wanted to help people. I graduated in 2001 with a Masters in Physical therapy from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. For the last 15 years, I focused my attention an alternative methods of healing and have focused my education and practice on following the principles of functional medicine. I have over 20 years of experience in alternative healing and treatment modalities as well as biohacking methods to lead a long and healthy life.
However, despite leading a very clean and healthy lifestyle, I became a victim of a debilitating chronic illness. I was turned away by numerous conventional medicine doctors who gave me the ‘clean bill of health’ stamp and told me I was their poster child for being healthy and fit. Yet I was so ill, I could barely function or take care of my family. I used my knowledge and principles of functional medicine to heal myself. It was then that I promised myself that I would dedicate my life to helping others heal. I got accepted in to IFM’s functional medicine practitioner program and have continued my education and journey in this arena.
